Goody's 500 at Martinsville

Disclaimer: I missed the first 142 laps... yeah that much!
Joey Logano led laps 143-162. Here we go again. Greg Biffle spins on lap 157. No surprise here. Austin Dillon led laps 162-165. That's a surprise. Dillon and Kyle Busch wrecked on lap 172. I knew Kyle would have a hard time in round 3. Logano led laps 165-201. Clint Bowyer spun on lap 186. Kevin Harvick led laps 201-238. The illegal chaser better not win. Greg Biffle spins on lap 238. Again? Brad Keselowski led laps 238-246. Logano led laps 247-258. Keselowski led laps 259-290. Biffle spun again on lap 282. Logano led laps 291-379. Keselowski led 379-379. Logano 380-386. Keselowski led 387-403. Logano led 404-455. All I know is a Penske driver will win this. Danica Patrick spun on lap 408. Denny Hamlin was too fast coming into the pits. Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth, and Brad Keselowski wrecked together. Later, Kenseth wrecked Logano on purpose. Jeff Gordon led laps 455-459. A.J. Allmendinger led laps 459-479. Wow, that was a surprise. David Ragan spun on lap 467. No surprise here. Jeff Gordon, being Jeff Gordon at Martinsville, led the last 22 laps to win, but not before Sam Hornish, Jr. spun with 7 to go.

2015 Goody's 500 Prediction

Think back to 2010. Who won both races, HURT? None other than Denny Hamlin. He was 12th and 5th fastest in the 2 practices. So I'm going with Hamlin for a sweep.

The Most Controversial NASCAR Race of the Season

Jeff Gordon started on the pole and led the 1st 10 laps. That's a good way to start your final race at Talladega. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. led laps 11-11. Wait a minute, he's an Earnhardt, Earnhardts usually led more than 1 lap in a row. Denny Hamlin led laps 11-15. Earnhardt, Jr. led laps 15-17. Hamlin led laps 17-18. Earnhardt, Jr, led laps 18-19. Hamlin leads. No Earnhardt. No Hamlin! I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE WILL WIN! Gordon led laps 19-20. Finally someone other than Jr. or Hamlin. Earnhardt led laps 20-41. Austin Dillon got a tire related penalty. Eh, he didn't have a shot anyway. Aric Almirola was too fast entering the pits. See what I said about Dillon. MICHAEL WALTRIP, YES MICHAEL WALTRIP LED LAPS 41-42. WHERE HAS HE BEEN?! Jimmie Johnson led laps 42-66. wow. Earnhardt Jr. led laps 66-81. Well he's Jr. Michael Waltrip led lap 81. Michael McDowell was too fast leaving the pits. David Ragan led laps 81-82. Travis Kvapil's crew went over the wall too soon. Paul Menard led laps 82-84. Joey Logano led laps 84-97. Oh Great, him. Kevin Harvick led laps 97-104, hmmm is this Dover all over again? Kasey Kahne led laps 104-120, wait Kasey Kahne? Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. led laps 120-121. It's Dega, what do you expect? Casey Mears was too fast coming into the pits. Earnhardt, Jr's crew went over the wall too soon. Johnson led laps 121-129. Justin Alligaier's crew went over the wall too soon. Later, his engine blows up. Kurt Busch led leaps 136-136. Kenseth led laps 137-140. Just wait for him to wreck again. Kyle Busch led laps 140-152. Earnhardt led laps 152-170. Menard led laps 171-172. David Gilliland led laps 172-173. Greg Biffle led laps 173-187. Jamie McMurray 's Engine blows up. Not a good day for Hendrick engines. Now for what I hate with a passion, the finish. Kevin Harvick becomes an idiot and KNOWS HIS ENGINES GONNA BLOW DOESN'T BRING IT TOO THE GARAGE AND STARTS THE BIG ONE ON ONLY THE FIRST ATTEMPT AT A GREEN WHITE CHECKER!!!!!!! AND THE WORST PART IS NASCAR DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER WITH THE 2ND AND 3RD ATTEMPTS . THEY JUST LOOKED AT THE FOOTAGE AND DEEMED LOGANO THE WINNER! PLUS JR. WAS AHEAD OF JOEY! FOR SURE!

Anyway, here are what NASCAR says is the Eliminator 8 is:

  • Joey Logano (3 wins)
  • Carl Edwards
  • Jeff Gordon
  • Brad Keselowski
  • Kurt Busch
  • Martin Truex, Jr.
  • Kevin Harvick
  • Kyle Busch

This is what I say the Eliminator 8 should be:

  • Joey Logano (2 wins)
  • Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (1 win)
  • Carl Edwards
  • Jeff Gordon
  • Brad Keselowski
  • Kurt Busch
  • Martin Truex Jr
  • Kyle Busch

Alabama 500 at Talladega Prediction

Isn't it obvious? With 6 wins in the past and 4 more at Daytona AND on top of that being an Earnhardt. Yes I am talking about Jeffrey Earnhardt...

Hahaha no. He's not racing this weekend. I am really talking about Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Jamie McMurray got into the dirty air against the wall and got loose. Tony Stewart spun on lap 64 with a flat tire. Carl Edwards led laps 70-72. Matt Kenseth led laps 72-178 . Trevor Bayne doesn't give AJ Allmendinger room and the dinger hits the wall. Kyle Larson spun on lap 109 with a flat tire. Austin Dillon has a right front tire go flat. Dale Earnhardt Jr has a loose wheel on lap 165. Logano led laps 179-187. Clint Bowyer hit the wall really hard on lap 177. Kenseth led lap 187. Logano led laps 187-196. Brad Keselowski hit the wall due to a flat tire. Kenseth led laps  196-263. Before that Martin Truex Jr had a tire get away from him during a pit stop. Justin Alligaier spun around on lap 244. Kenseth and Logano fought hard for the lead, resulting in Kenseth spinning. Logano led the last 3 laps to win

Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Prediction

I think after being fastest in practice AND past wins at Kansas, Brad Keselowski will move on to round 3 by winning this Sunday.

Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NOT PREDICTION!)

Disclaimer: I missed out on the 1st 6 laps
Matt Kenseth started on the pole and led the 1st 80 laps. Let me guess he's gonna win like he ALWAYS does. The competition caution came out on lap 26. Thanks mother nature. JJ Yeley had a pit crew violation. Well, he didn't have a chance anyway. Kasey Kahne hit the wall on lap 61 due to tire troubles. He's never gonna catch a break. Greg Biffle was too fast entering pit road. He didn't have much of a chance either. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has tire issues. I did not see that coming. Joey Logano led laps 81-123. That took a few races, WHERE HAS HE BEEN SINCE THE BRISTOL NIGHT RACE?! Jimmie Johnson led laps 123-125. Is this the Jimmie Johnson that won 6 championships or the Jimmie Johnson that was eliminated last week? Kyle Larson led laps 125-128. Wow, that was a surprise. Carl Edwards led laps 128-128. Well he did win the 600. Jeff Gordon led laps 128-128. You probably won't see this again Logano led laps 129-233. Two words. Total Dominance. Debris in turn 3 brought out the caution on lap 168. Let me guess, NASCAR is trying to make a "show" out of it. Matt Kenseth has a bad tire rub on lap 178. Wow, that was a surprise. Justin Allgaier lost an engine on lap 183. That was not surprising. Earnhardt Jr. had a tire go flat on lap 195. Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson crash on pit road during the caution laps. Kenseth had too many guys over the wall. This is just not his day. Austin Dillon led laps 233-234. Well he did win Friday night. Gordon led laps 234-235. It is his last race at Charlotte. Clint Bowyer led laps 235-236. Ladies and Gentlemen, something you won't see for the rest of the season, Clint Bowyer leading! Sam Hornish, Jr. led laps 236-245. Wow, who knew he wouldn't pit for that long. Matt Kenseth crashed on lap 241. Just not his day. Joey Logano led laps 245-285. As of late this isn't normal for Joey. Johnson had troubles with the oil pump. I wonder what he'll break next week? Hornish, Jr. led laps 285-301. Seriously, it'll take a while for this guy to pit. Joey Logano led laps 301-the finish, picking up his 4th win of the season and advancing him to round 3.

Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway

It may be Dale Earnhardt Jr's birthday, but he isn't all that good at Charlotte. I think Kurt Busch will get his 3rd win this season and his 3rd win (including the All Star win) at Charlotte. He was also fastest in 1st practice and 2nd fastest in Happy Hour.

AAA 400

Matt Kenseth started on the pole and led the first 24 laps. Please don't let him win again. Jeb Burton spun around on lap 4. Ladies and gentlemen, your 2015 Rookie of the Year, Jeb Burton! Yeah, he's the only rookie in the field. Kevin Harvick led laps 25-236. He'll run out of gas, you watch. The competition caution comes out on lap 42, hmm must've rained. Denny Hamlin was too fast coming into pit road. That's really gonna sting. Oh wait,he got pass-thru with a win! Jimmie Johnson, however, wasn't so lucky. Along with being too fast, later on, to add insult to injury, he had a broken axle. Debris brought out the 3rd caution. Burton hit the wall to bring out the 4th caution. During this caution period a duck SOMEHOW  got onto the track. Now I know what your thinking, how did a duck get onto the track. My answer: it has its ways. Anyway debris again brought out a caution, on lap 232. Well poor old Denny Hamlin can't catch a break today, coming into the pits too fast again. Kyle Busch. Wait Kyle Busch? led laps 236-248. That same lap, 248 Harvick took the lead back and surprisingly, made it to the checkered flag. But not before some pit stops which began on lap 290. A.J. Allmendinger lost a tire on lap 312. That sucks. Brett Mofit hit the wall on lap 321.Uh tire issues? Towards the checkered flag, Landon Cassil blew an engine. Well at least it didn't catch fire.

AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway Prediction

I think Carl Edwards will win the AAA 400. I chose Edwards because he was 2nd fastest in both practices. He also has a good history at Dover, including a Cup Series win in 2007, an Xfinity Series win in 2007, and 2 Xfinity Series wins in 2011.

Friday, October 2, 2015

Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Carl Edwards qualified on the pole and led the first 29 laps, Kevin Harvick laps 30-199. I felt like there was no way ANYONE could PASS the 4. Aric Almirola hit the wall on lap 40. I wasn't surprised EVERYBODY hits the wall at New Hampshire, EVERYBODY! Anyway Landon Cassil brought out the caution for the same reason on lap 96. Tony Stewart and Kyle Larson made contact on lap 55. I thought they were gonna wreck. Alex Bowman hit the wall on lap 120. Like I said, EVERYONE HITS THE WALL AT NEW HAMPSHIRE. Casey Mears has a “tire violation”. HUH? Anyway, Kyle Busch hits the wa- SEE! I TOLD YOU! EVERYBODY! Carl Edwards remove a gas can from his pit stall. I thought they took 4 tires! Not 2! I guess the fuel guy thought the same thing. Somehow debris got on the track on lap 192. NASCAR's bullcrap? Maybe. Yes. Jimmie Johnson loses a tire. Don't see that often? WRONG! YOU NEVER SEE IT! Matt Kenseth led laps 200-211. Based off his season so far I think Kenseth will 5 more laps before Homestead. Danica Patrick and David Ragan crash HARD. Well at least Michael Waltrip Racing is shutting down, so I guess they can wreck every week. Kevin Harvick led laps 211-215. Well that was pretty obvious. Brett Mofit spun on lap 212. THIS HAPPENS MORE THAN HITTING THE WALL! Matt Kenseth led 215-218. That… wasn't… long. Denny Hamlin, wait where's he been!? Led laps 218-243. Justin Alligaier AH DANG IT, he was doing good, got into the wall. Greg Biffle led laps 243-252. Wait where's he been since 2 years ago?! Brad Keselowski according to NASCAR “jumped the restart”, 2 days later it was proved NASCAR is biased about their drivers! Harvick led from 252-298. I was sure he had it in the bag. But heeee ran out of gas. Kenseth had it from there until the finish
