2015 Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Carl Edwards started from the pole. Joey Logano stole the lead from him on the start, funny I thought the inside worked better. Logano led until unlucky lap 13 when Edwards took it back. Pit Stops started on lap 27. Austin Dillon was too fast exiting, which gave him an obvious pass thru penalty. Edwards led from lap 14 to lap 32, when Kevin Harvick took it until lap 50. Austin Dillon was too fast on his penalty so he had to stop in his pit box and go again. A caution came out on lap 41 for balloons? What? Anyways, Carl Edwards won the race off pit road. Joey Logano snatched the lead from Harvick. On lap 50 a wreck happened involving Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer. Sounds familiar… What track is this? Phoenix? No? Martinsville? I swear these two have gotten together before. Anyway, pit stops start on lap 84, when Kevin Harvick lost the lead to Brad Keselowski, who then lost the lead to Kyle Busch who led from lap 86-91. the third caution came out for debris on the front straightaway. Kevin Harvick stays out. On the restart Brad Keselowski got loose and went backwards. Aric Almirola spun on lap 108. Brian Scott causes the fifth caution with a tire rub. Kyle Busch wins the race off pit road. David Ragan, yes David Ragan led from lap 125-128. Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. has a tire rub. Brad Keselowski led from lap 128-146. Debris brought out the 7th caution. Aric Almirola has a little argument with Trevor Bayne over space under caution. Kevin Harvick led from lap 147-153. Kyle Busch had it from there to the checkers. Even having to deal with debris with 5 to go and Trevor Bayne getting in a wreck with 2 to go. Kyle Busch kisses the bricks.

Brickyard 400 Prediction

In his last run at the Brickyard, Jeff Gordon will win his 6th race at Indianapolis. He was 4th fastest in Friday's morning practice, 6th in practice 2, and 23rd in not-so-happy hour. He would become the first to get 6 wins at this track among all racing series, and the 2nd driver to win the Brickyard 400 2 years in a row. That 4th fastest and 6th fastest said to me, yeah this is a winner.

5 Hour Energy 301 Prediction

I Think Carl Edwards after winning the pole, will win the race. My number 1 reason is he won the pole.

My number 2 reason is he has a good car, and even though he isn't good at New Hampshire, his team is, with 6 wins at this track. He does have success at 1-mile tracks and flat tracks. Plus he's won at Phoenix International Raceway, a.k.a. Jeff Gordon Raceway, with 2 wins which is a flat 1-mile track.
